More THAN a MEal

For over 50 years, Meals on Wheels Kitsap has supported elderly persons throughout Kitsap County — our meals provide good nutrition, and our volunteers provide the vital human connection we all need.

Nourishing Our Community

Since 1973, Meals on Wheels Kitsap has provided essential nutrition services to elderly persons age 60 and older throughout Kitsap County. We serve nutritious meals at community dining locations, meals-to-go sites, and through home delivery for those who are homebound. Last year alone, we provided nearly 75,000 meals—and we have never turned away anyone who needed one. Good nutrition supports health, independence, and quality of life, and our volunteers provide the vital human connection that makes our service truly meaningful. With your help, we can continue to achieve this goal and ensure no one goes hungry.

Senior Farmers Market Nutrition

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides fresh fruit and vegetables to lower-income seniors with the goal of improving their health and nutritional status.  It also supports local farming by increasing the use of farmers markets and roadside stands.
