Here are answers to some of the common questions runners ask.

Can I run with my dog?
     Yes, if your dog is leashed.

Can I run pushing a baby stroller?
     Yes!

Where can I signup?
     Online (click on the Whale of a Run LOGO above)

Does it cost more to register on the day of the race?
     Yes, an extra $5.00 for the 4-mile foot race and the 1-mile run/walk.

Do you have family rates?
     No.

Where does the run start?
     The 4-mile run starts at the corner of Silverdale Way and Kitsap Mall Blvd. the 1-mile
     run/walk starts on Silverdale Way in front of the Poplars Great Clips.


Is it hilly?
     No for the 1-mile run/walk. The 4-mile race is a challenging course with a fast finish.

Where is the finish?
     Silverdale Antiques in front of parade reviewing stand on Silverdale Way.

What time do the runs start?
     4-mile at 8:15 am
     1-mile at 8:25 am
     Kids Dashes at 9:10 am
     Special Olympics Dashes at 9:15 am

What time are the awards?
     Begins immediately after the run.

Is there a parade/festival?
     Yes. Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. Whaling Days Festival is July 29-31 at the
     Silverdale Waterfront Park. Visit the Whaling Days website for more information.


Where can I park?
     There is ample parking throughout the area, however, please consider the parade's
     route and start time.


Is there water along the course?
     Yes, on the 4-mile route at 2-3/4 mile.

Can I walk the races?
     Yes, but please keep in mind that the 4-mile course will close at 9:20 a.m.
